Let’s Loop Colorado! is dedicated to increasing the hearing accessibility of Colorado residents and visitors alike to hear clearly by advocating for quality installation of hearing loops in a variety of public and private places across the state.
What is a Hearing Loop?
Hearing loops are assistive listening systems that assists people with hearing loss, and are found in facilities that use an audio system (i.e.,a microphone, such as in churches, lecture halls, or stage performances, etc.) It provides a wireless signal that is picked up by hearing devices with telecoils. When hearing aid users are inside the loop, the sound is sent directly to the telecoil in their hearing device. This feature not only extends the listening range of hearing devices, it also eliminates background noise, and creates speech clarity, thus increasing listening comprehension and enjoyment. Hear the Difference a Hearing Loop Makes The examples allow you to listen to the difference between what a hearing aid wearer hears "in the loop" versus without a hearing loop system Where Can Hearing Loops Be Installed?
